Adult Fellowship

Uniting Church Adult Fellowship (UCAF) is an agency of The Uniting Church Assembly and includes all adult members of the church. This year there is a volunteer force of almost 12,000 members, which at various stages has been called (the backbone. powerhouse, lifeblood, heart) of the Uniting Church.

The theme for this triennium is For such a time as this… You may well recognise these words from the story of Esther 4:14. Some members of the committee had been involved in UCAF for many years. Some had little or no previous involvement, yet we believed God had called us to be together in this ministry at this time.

The National Committee has responsibilities at Assembly level, representing the UCA in women's organisations of the Churches from which we came. This entails involvement with the World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women and the World Alliance of Reformed Churches (WARC). We send a representative to the World Assembly of the World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women held each five years, and the South Pacific Area Seminar, also held every five years.
