New Resources in MCCM

A compilation of resources is now available from the Multicultural and Cross Cultural Ministry unit of the Centre for Ministry in the Synod of Victoria and Tasmania. 

In this simple, easy to read book Rosemary Dewerse succeeds in taking us into critical inter-cultural space with profound care but unavoidable clarity.

More than 1000 Tongan members of the Uniting Church in Australia, their friends and supporters gathered at Kurrajong at the foot of the Blue Mountains from 7-10 June to take part in the annual Tongan National Conference (TNC).

Missiologist Dr Rosemary Dewerse has scheduled a week-long workshop at the Adelaide College of Divinity campus in July.

The Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Councils of Australia (FECCA) joins with advocates for the rights and wellbeing of girls around the world to celebrate the inaugural United Nations International Day of the Girl Child tomorrow Thursday 11 October. Read more

Walking the talk

On Friday July 20, the recently installed President Reverend Professor Andrew Dutney, and the Chair of the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress wrote and distributed a letter to the Uniting Church in regards to the vigil held at Parliament House, Adelaide in response to the passing of the Federal Stronger Futures legislation.

Rev Semisi (James Latu)

The Reverend Semisi Latu, also known as James Latu, passed away Saturday 14th July 2012. His life, his ministry, his great dedication to God's work, his great contribution to Tongan National Conference, and ministry among the Tongan and non-Tongan people that touched so many lives will be remembered and greatly missed.

Your vote is important

The Federation of Ethnic Communities' Councils of Australia (FECCA) is throwing its weight behind the Australian Electoral Commission’s campaign to encourage new citizens to register and vote in elections.

Saturday 31st March saw the first anniversary celebrations of the Marhaba Community Meeting at Wesley Uniting Church in Perth, Western Australia.
