The Assembly Standing Committee (ASC) of the Uniting Church has identified a need to establish a project to review the oversight and management of professional standards for church ministry agents (ordained ministers and people serving in lay ministry roles).
A Professional Standards Project Manager is sought to develop a clear definition of professional standards within a framework that will provide context for the application of standards within various ministries, and establish clear responsibilities for oversight and accountability across the Uniting Church.
The Assembly is the national council of the Uniting Church and has responsibility in all matters of doctrine, worship, government and discipline which sets national policy and promotes the Church's mission in the world.
Frontier Services is an integral part of the Assembly, working with people in remote areas of Australia, with Indigenous communities, on isolated properties and mining sites and with remote communities. Frontier Services supports and resources Patrol Ministry and pastoral support, and provides drought relief and community recovery through volunteer assistance.

The Assembly is the national council of the Uniting Church, headed by the President, with a General Secretary as Chief Executive Officer. The Assembly has responsibility in matters of doctrine, worship, government and discipline which sets national policy and promotes the Church's mission in the world. The Assembly also establish standards of theological training and reception of ministers from other communions, and pursues the goal of the worldwide union of all Christ's church.
