General Secretary, Northern Synod

The Northern Synod of the Uniting Church in Australia is seeking a collaborative, strategic executive leader to serve as General Secretary.

The Northern Synod geographically covers the Northern Territory, the Kimberley of Western Australia and the APY Lands of South Australia.

The Synod is responsible for the general oversight, direction and administration of the churches' worship, witness and service.

The successful applicant will be an active and committed member of the Uniting Church, have a strong sense of call, a commitment to working with remote Indigenous people, a strategic thinker, and able to reflect organisational values.

The critical and strategic role of General Secretary serves to ensure that the Synod promotes and encourages the mission of the church, assisting congregations, presbyteries and agencies within its bounds in their faithful participation in the mission of God.
