Adult Fellowship

The Uniting Church Adult Fellowship (UCAF) is an agency of the Uniting Church in Australia Assembly and includes all adult members of the church.

There is a volunteer force of almost 12,000 members, which at various stages has been called the backbone. powerhouse, lifeblood and heart of the Uniting Church.

The theme for this triennium is "Living Water – Come Drink"

The UCAF National Committee for this triennium (2015-2018) is based in the Synod of Victoria and Tasmania.

Some members of the committee had been involved in UCAF for many years, while some have little or no previous involvement, yet we believed God called us to be together in this ministry at this time and in this place.

Basis of Union

Three denominations came together in 1977 to form the Uniting Church in Australia. The Basis of Union is the document that set the platform for how these churches came together. It outlines the roles of the different councils of the Church including the presbyteries, the synods, and the Assembly.

It states the central affirmations of the Christian faith and is a guide to what is central in the life of the Uniting Church.
