The Statement was the culmination of years of work by the Vic/Tas Synod’s Working Group on Christian Jewish Relations. It consists of twenty-four resolutions. The final five of these are words of encouragement for members and Councils of the Uniting Church to seek opportunities to build relationships with the Jewish community, to resist anti-Semitism, and to study writings that are significant to the Christian / Jewish relationship.
