The Uniting Church in Australia has expressed gratitude to Pacific churches for the decision of the Pacific Conference of Churches (PCC) to admit the Uniting Church as a member.

songwrite 2013

The Uniting Churchs inaugural songwrite weekend for worship songwriting took place at Kippax Uniting Church in Canberra from 15-17 March 2013.

The workshop saw many new works shared and performed, and organisers are already being asked for an encore performance.

2012 WMC Peace Award celebration service

On 14 February 2013 former Uniting Church peace advocate Joy Balazo received one of the highest international church honours - the World Methodist Council Peace Award.

The award was presented by Bishop Ivan Abrahams, General Secretary of the World Methodist Council at a ceremony at Sydney's Wesley Mission that was presided over by the President of the Uniting Church's Assembly Rev. Professor Andrew Dutney.
