Worship Resources and Publications
The Day of Mourning Worship Resource invites all Uniting Church in Australia congregations to hold worship services that reflect on the effect of invasion and colonisation on Australia’s First Peoples and our identity as a nation.
In the spirit of our Covenant relationship with the UAICC, we have declared the Sunday before Australia Day January 26 as a Day of Mourning. The observance of a Day of Mourning was endorsed by the Fifteenth Assembly at the request of our sisters and brothers in the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress (UAICC).
These suggested resources can be used in a worship service or a small gathering that encourages the Church to engage in lament and to honour our commitment to be the safest Church we can be for children in our care.
Prayer and liturgical resources for specific occasions, including:

The Working Group on Worship has gathered resources that can be used from Easter to Pentecost and beyond in the gathered worship of congregations, presbyteries and synods. The aim is to invite people to celebrate God’s grace and goodness. This can also include other aspects of worship including confession, lament, intercession.
